Naomi Judd and Prilosec OTC Roll for Three at the Third Annual Prilosec OTC Bunco Championship in Las Vegas

Charity Challenge Helps Raise Money For Breast Cancer Research

CINCINNATI, Jan. 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — The “key number” is three and for a third year in a row Prilosec OTC, the number one selling over-the-counter heartburn medicine*, is hosting the wildest Bunco party ever.

More than 2,000 women from around the country are heading to Caesars Palace Las Vegas for the Prilosec OTC Bunco Championship to compete for the title of “Bunco Champion.”  This year, country legend Naomi Judd is throwing down with Bunco ladies for a weekend dedicated to dice rolling, a $50,000 grand prize
and a charitable cause — breast cancer.

Bunco, a dice game based solely on luck, is favored by women as an alternative to “poker night” and makes a great “Girl’s Night In.” The game is now rolling across the nation and players everywhere are throwing dice and hosting Bunco parties with their teams.

Before the Championship die are thrown, Bunco teams will have the opportunity to participate in the Bunco Charity Challenge, an online event to help raise money for breast cancer.  The top fundraisers will be sent to Vegas to compete and have dinner with Naomi Judd.

Charity Challenge for Breast Cancer — Win Dinner with Naomi Judd
Over the past two years, the Prilosec OTC Bunco Championship events and
partnerships have helped raise more than $300,000 to support breast cancer
research.   To continue the effort, Prilosec OTC has pledged to raise money for
breast cancer research and is encouraging women across the nation to do the
same.  P&G will donate 100 percent of donations received from the Bunco
Charity Challenge, and 100 percent of proceeds received from Bunco
Championship t-shirt sales to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation(R) (BCRF).
BCRF is dedicated to preventing breast cancer and finding a cure in our
lifetime by funding clinical and genetic research worldwide.   For more
information about BCRF, visit www.bcrfcure.org.
“Players traditionally use Bunco parties to talk with friends about health
concerns and support important causes like breast cancer.  I’m looking forward
to spending a weekend with players from across the country at what’s going to
be the greatest Bunco party I’ve ever been to,” said Naomi Judd, country music
singer and songwriter.  “In order to join me, players can sign up online at
Buncocentral.com and also register for the Bunco Charity Challenge.   The top
fundraising group will win a trip to compete at the Prilosec OTC Bunco
Championship and have dinner with me.”
Prilosec OTC Bunco Championship
The 3rd Annual Prilosec OTC Bunco Championship will take place from March
7-9 at Caesars Palace Las Vegas, and on January 3, 2008, teams can log online
and register to play in this year’s tournament.   Naomi Judd will be on-site to
crown the next Prilosec OTC Bunco Champion.
“We found that twice as many frequent heartburn sufferers play Bunco
regularly compared to the general population,” said Karen Klei, Brand Manager
of Prilosec OTC. “We know women talk about health issues when they get
together, so this has been a great way to educate them about how they can
avoid frequent heartburn and encourage people to support breast cancer
research!”
